FAQ

Have a question about your ultrasound or x-ray appointment? Here are the answers to some of the questions we receive most frequently.

Q. How do I book an X-RAY OR ultrasound appointment ?

Our X-ray service is on a ‘walk-in’ basis. However, you do have the option to book an appointment for an X-Ray on Saturdays. **At this time, our X-Ray Department is closed on Saturdays, until further notice.

Any ultrasound exam can ONLY be booked by your physician’s office by contacting us by fax at 250-372-8318 or phone at 250-372-1145.

Q. How do I cancel or re-schedule an appointment?

Please call the office at 250-372-1145 at your earliest convenience if you want to change your appointment. We request 24 hours notice of any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Please note a $75 no-show fee will be charged for a missed appointment or late cancellation.

Q. Will I receive a reminder call for my appointment?

Yes, you will receive a call one to two business days before your appointment. Please make sure and tell our staff at the time of booking if you would prefer not to receive this call.

Q. How long will I normally have to wait for an appointment?

This depends on various factors including what the procedure is, whether you are flexible regarding appointment time and even the time of year! Our staff will endeavour to find the earliest and most convenient appointment. Please allow our office at least one month to process your referral.

Q. Will the technician tell me if they see anything wrong in my examination?

Technologists will not provide or discuss results. Images will be read by our radiologists and a report will be sent to your doctor. If there is anything that requires immediate attention, your referring physician will be contacted immediately.

Q. Can I see my images?

No, the X-ray and ultrasound must be reviewed by our radiologist and a report will be sent to your doctor’s office. This usually takes up to one to two business days.

Q. When will my doctor get a report?

Your physician will receive a report within one to two business days. You will need to contact your physician to discuss your test results.
